The XV LAWCC took place as part of the XLIX CLEI (Latin American Conference on Informatics) in La Paz, Bolivia. Its main objective is to highlight the research, interests, and achievements of women in various areas of computing, with the intention of encouraging more active participation of women in the technological field.
The presentation aimed to identify the challenges faced by women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in teaching, the workplace, and research. The goal was to find ways to address recurrent gender-related issues and interactions with society in this context.
MiningiDEAS participated in these sessions with a presentation by Ariana Carrazana as part of the panel titled "Turning the challenges of digital access into opportunities for women." Our CEO's presentation focused on "Promoting Innovation in STEM: A tripartite alliance focusing on women's participation in R&D through mentoring and sponsorship."
